When I walked into Dawn’s home studio for her branding session, I could instantly feel the warmth and creativity that defines her work. Dawn has recently begun selling her art and custom portraits on Etsy and at local craft shows. Painting has been more than just a creative outlet for her; it’s been a steadfast companion through trials and heartaches, a constant source of solace and expression throughout her life. Dawn’s studio is a vibrant splash of color and energy. Bathed in natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows, the room is alive with funky art knick-knacks and shelves stacked with brightly colored totes filled with supplies—organized with just the right touch of OCD precision. It's as though the space itself hums with inspiration. One of her three children drifts in and out during our session, digging through brushes and paints before climbing onto Dawn’s lap to paint some ornaments. As we chat about her growing business, Dawn sits calmly with a coffee in hand, adding the final touches to a custom dog portrait—no AI tools here, just pure artistry as she carefully shades a dog’s ear with her brush.
