Foggy Family Photos for Winter
December in Texas, I found myself in the midst of a big, beautiful family—a grandma, two adult daughters, and their lively bunch of kids. Oh, and Texas being Texas, it threw in a surprise element—gorgeous morning fog. Buckle up; this is the tale of a fog-kissed family photoshoot!
This day I photographed a grandmother, whose smile and laughter brightened even the foggiest of mornings. Flanking her were two adult daughters, each weaving a unique thread into the family fabric.
One daughter with her own precious girl. Dressed in a blue that seemed tailor-made for her, this beautiful young girl became a living canvas, an embodiment of innocence and joy.
The other daughter with two handsome young boys. One all quiet and chill, the strong, silent type. The other? Total tornado of energy, just like my own son—running, climbing, seeking adventure like it's going out of style. It was like trying to capture a whirlwind on camera, and I loved every second of it.
One of the real gems of the day was the bond between the two brothers. Whether they were goofing around or just standing together, you could feel the connection. It was like they had a secret language, and I was lucky enough to capture it on camera.
The soft light, the haze—it was like being in a movie. Grandma wanted solo shots with each grandkid, and let me tell you, those turned out to be the most heartwarming frames. Fog or no fog, the love in those moments was crystal clear.
This photoshoot wasn't just about snapping pictures; it was about freezing moments of laughter, love, and those little quirks that make a family uniquely awesome. In the December fog, we found warmth, connection, and a whole lot of joy. Cheers to families and their beautiful chaos!
