A Perfect Texas Fall Evening at Mills Pond Park
Fall may look a little different here in Texas — we’re still in shorts most days! But this year has felt a little kinder, not quite as hot, and the evenings have been absolutely beautiful for fall mini sessions. The light has been soft and golden, the breeze just enough to keep us comfortable, and each session has been filled with laughter and connection.
This family shoot at sunset was one of my favorites — gorgeous golden light, minimal bugs (a small miracle!), and so much room to spread out and play. Even with a handful of other photographers at Mills Pond Park in Wells Branch, there’s always plenty of lakefront space to find quiet corners and capture the magic of the evening.
What I loved most about this family was their easy laughter — it came naturally and never felt forced. They kept each other smiling the whole session, which made capturing their connection effortless and fun.
