Golden Hour Laughs at Brushy Creek Lake Park

This week, I had the joy of photographing a beautiful family mini session at Brushy Creek Lake Park during one of those perfect Texas sunsets. The golden light was absolutely dreamy—soft, warm, and everything I love about spring evenings in Central Texas. Although the bluebonnets and wildflowers gave us just a partial showing this year, we’ll take it! The little pops of color added just the right amount of seasonal charm to the backdrop.

This sweet family had recently relocated from up North, and as a fellow Northerner at heart, I felt right at home walking around with them. We laughed so much during their session—honestly, they had me giggling the whole time. It felt less like work and more like taking a walk with old friends.

I absolutely love how their photos turned out—full of warmth, movement, and genuine connection. I'm so happy I was able to deliver their gallery and I can’t wait for them to share their favorites with me.

I’m wrapping up my spring sessions at Brushy Creek this week, and this one was such a reminder of why I love photographing families here. Between the light, the laughter, and the gentle spring colors, this session was everything I love about this season.
