Extended Family Holiday Shoot
Over the holiday break, I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful family that included a radiant grandmother, her son and daughter-in-law, and their exuberant 2-year-old grandson. The little boy was full of energy, eager to run, run, run in the sunshine! To keep things fun and easy for him, we took a walk to their local park, which turned out to be the perfect setting for our session.
Photographing toddlers is always an adventure, and this session was no exception. It was a bit of a challenge to get the little one to join in for some group shots, but his parents were incredibly understanding. Like so many families I work with, they wanted to capture the natural essence of his age—the curiosity, the energy, and the joy that comes with being two years old. And we did just that! We managed to sneak in some beautiful family moments while letting him explore and have fun.
I absolutely love when extended family members are included in sessions. This grandmother was simply radiant and gorgeous, and I couldn’t help but admire her energy and warmth. It was especially touching to capture a few special moments of her with her grown son. There’s something so meaningful about documenting those relationships that span generations.
I’m so happy this family reached out to book a session during the holiday break. It was such a joy to meet them and to capture their love and laughter on camera.
