This sweet homeschool family of three boys felt completely at home in the outdoors, and it showed from the moment we started. They were relaxed, curious, and ready to explore—my favorite kind of session energy. We swapped stories about our go-to parks around town, which is always such a fun conversation with fellow nature lovers.

The weather was truly beautiful—one of those rare late-fall days that feels like a gift. After all the hit-and-miss forecasts this week, the clear sky and soft breeze were a welcome surprise. Everything felt calm and easy.

The park was surprisingly quiet, likely thanks to the holiday week and everyone’s uncertainty with the weather. It honestly felt like we had the whole space to ourselves, which is such a treat this time of year. The boys had room to roam, and the stillness made the session feel unhurried.

All of those elements came together to create the most beautiful images—full of connection, movement, and gentle sunset light. I loved photographing this family and capturing a little glimpse of what their days together feel like. And of course we alwsys leave time for some fun....

I’ve truly loved these late fall mini sessions—each one has felt a little extra special with the softer light and quieter parks. I’m wrapping up the season soon, but I still have a few openings left if you’d like me to photograph your family before the year ends. You can click the link below to book your session.
