More Texas Bluebonnet Mini Sessions
This spring, Austin experienced a noticeably lighter bluebonnet bloom than in recent years, with far fewer lush patches across the area. Even so, I was grateful to discover the beautiful blooms that remained and create some truly special images at Brushy Creek Lake Park this Spring.
This was a fun sunset Bluebonnet Mini Session at Brushy Creek Park. Mom was an absolute joy to work with—she communicates beautifully and has photographed bluebonnets with her boys every year. She knew more about the blooms than I did, which only made the evening more special.
We began with quiet family portraits in calmer areas of the park before gently making our way to the few remaining patches of bluebonnets. Despite another photographer commandeering the best spot in a public park, this mom was not deterred. We found some bunches, and we created beautiful images together.
I enjoyed hearing her stories of past bluebonnet seasons and watching her boys laugh and play so naturally with one another. It was a lovely evening despite the crowds, filled with bright, vibrant colors that truly glowed.
I hope to photograph this wonderful family again next year.
The bluebonnets may have faded, but beautiful wildflowers are still brightening the fields. I’m happy to honor mini session pricing through the end of April — I’d love to photograph your family while the spring blooms last. Please reach out to book your session.
