Sunset by the Lake | Cedar Park Family Session
This spring has surprised us in more ways than one—especially with the bluebonnets. They’ve been a little shy this year, popping up here and there but nothing like the sea of blooms we’re used to. Even so, many of you decided to keep your sessions anyway, embracing the season just as it is. And let me just say… I’m so glad you did. I’ve been capturing some truly beautiful springtime moments lately, and yes—we’ve even managed to find a few little clusters of bluebonnets along the way!
This session by the lake in Cedar Park was one of those golden evenings I won’t forget. I absolutely adore this family. I’ve had the joy of photographing them as their children grow, and somehow, their mom just keeps looking younger every year—she’s aging in reverse, I swear!
Her little ones are the sweetest brother and sister duo. They’re always laughing, hugging, and running wild together—just full of joy. That’s why we always pick locations that give them space to be themselves. Nothing posed or stiff—just real, playful, and full of love.
It’s true, we can’t make Mother Nature give us a blanket of bluebonnets, but we can soak up the sun, chase that dreamy golden hour light, and make the most of this gorgeous spring season. Every session is a chance to capture something beautiful, bluebonnets or not.
