Sunset in the Bluebonnets at Brushy Creek
Some mini sessions feel like a gentle stroll, while others feel like a full-on workout—and this one definitely had me breaking a sweat! This sweet two-year-old was a bundle of energy, darting through the bluebonnet fields at Brushy Creek Lake Park, completely uninterested in sitting still for family photos. And honestly? I loved it. His joy, his curiosity, and his absolute zest for life were a delight to witness.
His parents, full of love and patience, embraced the moment, laughing as they tried (and often failed) to corral their little explorer. I did my very best to capture both the beauty of the evening and the essence of their family. I love how expansive Brushy Creek Lake Park is. Even on a crowded evening, there is plenty of room for your children to run and play and capture the magic.
Thankfully, the park’s variety give plenty of opportunities to duck into quieter spaces, escaping the crowds while still capturing the magic of that golden sunset glow. This sweet boy had me sprinting from one spot to the next as he eagerly explored every rock, flower, and path. It was a workout, but one filled with so much laughter and joy—I could only imagine the energy his mama keeps up with every single day!
